Gas Turbine Efficiency’s Automated Tuning System to be Featured in Energy Industry Conference

May 7, 2010

GTE will be attending the 7FA Users Groups Annual Conference and Exhibition to present on DLN and DLE Automatic Tuning Solutions

ORLANDO, Florida — Gas Turbine Efficiency plc (AIM: GTE), a leader in energy and aviation products and services, will be attending the 7FA Users Groups Annual Conference to present its power generation products to gas turbine owners and technical staff—including ECOMAX™ DLN and DLE Automated Tuning System and Outage Management Services.

GTE plans to showcase its complete portfolio of products and services, including ECOMAX, turbine services, and combustion repair at the 7FA conference, interacting with gas turbine users and operators to improve the reliability and financial viability of gas turbines in use worldwide. The 7FA Users Groups Annual Conference is a professional group of combustion gas turbine owners and operators who conduct one meeting per year to exchange technical, operations and maintenance information with gas turbine operators and power generation industry suppliers.

GTE’s ECOMAX product line is of particular interest to 7FA members as it offers a fully automated solution for optimizing gas turbine combustion system performance in near real-time. As an automated tuning system, ECOMAX can increase power potential and maintain operational flexibility while remaining compliant in emissions regulations.

An additional service specific to the F-fleet of gas turbines is GTE’s Outage Management services, which include combustion inspections, hot gas path inspections, and provides an industry-leading 2-year warranty.

The 7FA exhibition and conference will be held at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, GA on May 10-14, 2010. For more information on this conference, visit http://ge7fa.users-groups.com/Events/2010/Info/.

In addition to being featured in a conference presentation, GTE will be exhibiting at the vendor fair in booths number 53 and 54, from 6:30 to10:00 pm.

Gas Turbine Efficiency’s Innovative Technology Reduces Emissions for Energy Industry

May 5, 2010

Combined Water Injection and Power Augmentation System Lowers Client’s NOx Emissions while Increasing Power Output

ORLANDO, Florida — Gas Turbine Efficiency plc (AIM: GTE), a leader in energy and aviation products and services, is using its extensive experience in water injection and power augmentation to assist Energy Industry clients with tighter regulatory requirements in NOx emission limits.

Connectiv Power Augmentation

You can download GTE's Connectiv case study at http://www.gtefficiency.com

A recent case study from GTE shows how one of its power generation customers successfully installed a single skid that incorporated both the water injection and power augmentation systems on their two GE MS50001Ps and three P&W FT4A engines. The combined system is capable of interfacing with virtually any control system and gas turbine fuel system. With this enhancement, the energy producer would provide cleaner and lower level emissions while increasing output and optimizing performance.

“This product is a great example of GTE’s growing portfolio of high value, practical and contemporary solutions for Power Generation,” says Steven Zwolinski, Chief Executive Officer at GTE. “At GTE we continually assess the rapidly evolving landscape of factors that drive customer needs – economic, environmental, dispatch and efficiency.”

The attached published data has quantified the benefits of installing the universal system and reports a reduction in NOx emissions that not only met the regulatory requirements, but was lower than the emission limit set forth. In addition, there was a five to eight percent adjustable increase in power output.

From an environmental standpoint, by installing the universal system, a power plant has the potential to reduce NOx emissions to meet or exceed regulatory changes in emission limits with the added benefit of increasing their power output and optimizing their engine’s performance.
