Engineering executive brings wealth of international business experience to GTE

ORLANDO, Florida — Gas Turbine Efficiency plc (AIM: GTE), a leader in energy and aviation products and services, has appointed John Grant as the company’s non-Executive Chairman, a position he will assume effective January 4, 2010.

John Grant brings to GTE a strong executive management profile following his work in the engineering and automotive industries in the United States and the UK. Prior to joining GTE, John served as Chairman of Torotrak plc and as non-Executive Director of Pace plc, Melrose plc and MHP SA—all listed on the London Stock Exchange.

John’s career started at Ford Motor Company in 1967, progressively climbing the ranks of this Fortune 500 Company to achieve executive management positions in Europe and the US, until his departure in 1992. During his 25-year career at this multinational corporation, John Grant served as Ford’s Vice President for Europe, Director of Corporate Strategy at Ford US, and Deputy Chairman of Jaguar.

John was educated at Queen’s University of Belfast, where he studied Economics and subsequently completed his MBA at Cranfield University.

Power-Gen Update: Las Vegas convention is a success for GTE

GTE attracts international prospects seeking to increase their gas turbine efficiency and performance at Power-Gen International 2009

Gas Turbine Efficiency’s three-day exhibition at Power-Gen International 2009 was a sheer success as the company presented its products and services to almost 20,000 attendees who came to see the largest Energy Industry gathering at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

GTE’s impressive three-dimensional booth enjoyed a premium location among industry giants such as Pratt & Whitney, Alstom and Siemens. The booth itself offered a tour of GTE’s offerings which included its compressor water wash systems, combustion system upgrades, automated tuning and its Turbine Services business.

GTE’s booth at Power-Gen 2009 offered a complete presentation of its products and services for power generation companies and power plant operators.

Among the executives present were GTE’s Industrial Business President Michael Thomas; Turbine Services President John Duff, Managing Director EMEA Pär Krossling, and Marcus Turner, the company’s Chief Marketing Officer.

As the Las Vegas convention comes to a close, GTE is already looking forward to Power-Gen International 2010, which will be held in Orlando, Florida, where the company’s main U.S. office is located. The conference and expo is scheduled for December 14-16, 2010, at the Orange County Convention Center which is listed to be Power-Gen’s host for the thru 2012.
